Welcome

323 Christian Co-op is a La Vernge, TN homeschool co-op for Nursery to 12th grade. We're a Christ-centered community where families support each other academically and beyond.  Our nursery-8th grade have a traditional co-op style setting and this year our high school will have a drop off option!

323 comes from Colossians 3:23.
"Work heartily as unto the Lord and not for men."

We prioritize faith and family, offering acedemic and enrichment classes, and fostering relationships. We emphasize learning, service, and fun.

Families contribute by teaching a class and assisting with others. We use reputable curriculum (Apologia, IEW, Notgrass) and provide resources.

We organize outings, field trips, and community service to build lasting bonds. We value stewardship and minimize costs.

Students contribute to the co-op by cleaning the facility and learning other valuable life skills.

Fun Classroom

Our Classes

Science

We use Apologia science curriculum, known for its depth and engaging style. It can be challenging, so parents set individual learning expectations. In-class activities reinforce learning through hands-on experiments and reviews. High school labs are conducted in class to minimize home messes.

History

Social Studies/History classes emphasize hands-on projects and often integrate writing High school as well as Middle and elementary levels utilize Notgrass History materials, a well-regarded Tennessee-based curriculum. These resources provide engaging and well-researched content on U.S. and world history, geography, and more. In-class projects and group activities bring the learning to life.

P.E.

Physical Education is our time to let the kids run and play in organized large group games as well as work on aspects of their strength and fitness.

I.E.W.

The Institute for Excellence in Writing (IEW) is an excellent program for teaching grammar and writing. Students can enter at their current skill level, and each year begins with a review of Key Word Outlining. IEW can even motivate reluctant writers. Parental involvement is crucial, requiring summer preparation through instructional videos (often enjoyed together during "watch parties"). IEW is paired with "Fix It" grammar books, providing comprehensive instruction on sentence structure, writing style, and techniques throughout all grade levels.

Family Interviews

At 323, we interview all interested families who have visited our co-op!  Academic co-op programs require all moms to teach and assist in every class all day.  We do try to schedule a break for every mom during the day.  We realize that this type of program isn't for everyone.  We work together to fill in and show up and it's hard work.  Colossians 3:23 tells us that WORK is a blessing.  From teaching, changing diapers, helping a worn out mom, and even scrubbing tables and mopping floors.  We consider this an opportunity for children to learn the value of God glorifying service. ---323 WORKS HARD---  We play hard too, rest assure :).  At your assigned interview time, we would love to meet your family and talk with you about who you are and why you want to join, what are your families goals in joining our co-op, and things like this.  These interviews are scheduled through our director and we meet at Panera on Sam Ridley - Wednesdays, April 16 and 23, as well as, Saturday, April 26, 2025.
